Meet Us!

Janine Aston: Owner

Hi, I'm Janine Aston, and I've been a caregiver and nanny for more than ten years! As the previous owner of Little Monkeys Jungle Gym, an indoor play space north of Boston, I saw a need in Charlestown for a community space that offers Enrichment classes for kids. I was struck by how few local offerings there are for children and their parents or caregivers. My hope is to provide  a great family resource and network for Charlestown and the surrounding communities.

 Nicole Vaillancourt: Dance Instructor

Nicole is trained in many styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyric, modern and hip-hop. She grew up performing and competing all over the country, so to inspire and pass on the gift of dance to young students, is as important to her as it is exciting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology & English from UMass Boston and continued to dance and choreograph in college where she minored in Dance. She is currently studying for her MA in English and is currently a proud member of the Boston Cannons Dance Team.

Jill Lemberg: Enrichment Instructor

Prior to working at Babycakes, Jill was a lead teacher and director of a children's fitness center for four years in Boston. She worked directly with children ages six weeks through seven years of age. She taught everything from puppet shows to tumbling skills. She now has two young daughters of her own and spends most of her days chasing them around!

Stephanie Peters: Enrichment Instructor

Stephanie recently graduated from Emerson College with her MA in theatre education and theatre teaching licensePreK-12. She loves working with the youngest of students and has chosen to specialize in early childhood arts education. In addition to nine years of teaching experience in the performing arts, she has been a professional nanny for seven years. Especially in our digital age, it is vital that children are offered foundational activities in dramatics, movement, music, and visual art. Stephanie is passionate about facilitating creative programming and supporting the adult-child bond so crucial to early development.
